Analyzing 14 SWAPs in the Northeast Region

After investing so much collaborative effort into preparing the best revised SWAPs possible in 2012-2015, the Northeastern states were poised to combine their efforts to produce a regional understanding of Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN), Key Habitats, regional threats, and proposed conservation actions that are common across the region or actionable at the regional scale.

We researched the information in 2015 SWAPs, analyzed the data, and prepared preliminary results. The Northeast Fish and Wildlife Diversity Technical Committee and the Directors of the State Fish and Wildlife Agencies will develop plans for regional collaboration over the next decade based on this analysis of 2015 SWAPs.
